IT Consultant 2 (Salesforce Architect)
Role Summary
Responsible for end‑to‑end Salesforce.com platform management, including configuration, custom development, integration, release management, and user support to enable business processes and continuous improvement.
Expectations
Deliver high‑quality Salesforce solutions on time, maintain best practices, manage releases, and mentor team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into Salesforce configurations and custom development (Lightning Aura, APEX, Force.com APIs).
- Lead full project lifecycle: kickoff, requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post‑production support.
- Configure and enhance dashboards, reports (incl. Conga), processes, Flow, Visual Flow, Process Builder, and Communities.
- Manage third‑party integrations, data migration (Data Loader, ETL tools), and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Develop and maintain test plans, user test cases, perform unit testing, and facilitate UAT.
- Produce documentation: processes, policies, user guides, change orders, release notes.
- Monitor exception logs, resolve system problems, and ensure performance‑optimized configurations.
- Mentor and train junior resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system enhancements and recommend technologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Architect/Developer (3+ years).
- Expertise in Lightning Aura, APEX, SOQL/SOSL, Force.com APIs, and Salesforce release management.
- Strong report and dashboard design skills (Conga).
- Knowledge of Process Builder, Flow, Visual Flow, Communities, and integration patterns.
- Experience with data migration, Data Loader, and third‑party integration tools (MuleSoft, Zapier, etc.).
- Ability to create test cases, conduct unit/UAT, and document solutions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, project coordination, and mentorship skills.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Salesforce Platform Administrator and Platform App Builder certifications (required).
- Platform Developer I (and preferably II) certification.
- Sales Cloud Application Architect or Integration Architecture Design Custodian (preferred).
- Additional integration or data management certifications (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica) considered a plus.
