Salesforce Data Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that integrate Salesforce with external systems. Optimize data ingestion, storage, and transformation to support Salesforce Clouds, enforce data governance, and incorporate AI/ML capabilities to enhance decision‑support and automation.
**Expectations**
- Deliver robust, reusable data integration solutions across multiple Salesforce Clouds (Public Sector, Service, Experience).
- Maintain high data quality through ongoing migration, deduplication, and cleansing.
- Work cross‑functionally with product owners, business units, and AI/ML teams to embed predictive and generative AI tools within Salesforce.
- Uphold strict data governance standards, documentation, and stewardship practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and implement scalable ETL pipelines, APIs, and data integration flows between Salesforce and partner systems.
- Optimize data ingestion and transformation following Salesforce best practices and performance guidelines.
- Define and enforce data modeling strategies, including normalization, storage, and performance across Salesforce Clouds.
- Lead data migration, deduplication, and cleansing initiatives to preserve data integrity.
- Design and deploy AI‑powered agents (e.g., Einstein GPT, LLM‑based assistants) for dynamic decision support and workflow automation.
- Collaborate with AI/ML specialists to integrate predictive models and generative AI into Salesforce environments.
- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, naming conventions, stewardship models, and metadata libraries.
- Produce clear documentation for integrations, cleansing processes, and governance policies.
- Engage stakeholders to align data strategies with business objectives.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce Platform Development (Apex, Lightning Components).
- Expertise in MuleSoft integration architecture (Anypoint Studio, API layers).
- Strong knowledge of ETL design, data modeling, and performance tuning in Salesforce.
- Experience with data migration, deduplication, and cleansing best practices.
- Ability to design and implement AI/ML solutions within Salesforce (Einstein, GPT, LLM).
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and metadata management.
- Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification (4–6 years experience).
- Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Developer (4–6 years experience).
- Salesforce Certified Platform Data Architect (7–9 years experience).
- Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Platform Architect (7–9 years experience).
