Job Description
Job title: Security Engineer Role Summary: Secure software and cloud environments by identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities. Collaborate with development and operational teams within Agile/DevOps contexts to embed security practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle. Expectations: - Minimum 3 years in security analysis or related role. - Proficiency in vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Tenable, Snyk). - Hands‑on experience securing AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. - Strong grasp of secure coding principles and OWASP Top 10. - Excellent communication skills for explaining technical risks to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct vulnerability scans and analyze findings across infrastructure and application layers. - Develop and maintain remediation plans, ensuring timely patching and configuration hardening. - Implement and update cloud security controls, governance frameworks, and compliance monitoring. - Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, providing automated checks and alerts. - Work closely with software developers to enforce secure coding standards and perform code reviews. - Document security incidents, root causes, and corrective actions. Required Skills: - Proven experience with vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Tenable, Snyk). - Practical knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP security services and best practices. - Understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and secure coding techniques. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective verbal and written communication. - Familiarity with Agile/DevOps workflows.
