Job Description
**Job Title:** Intern, Geopolitics **Role Summary:** Support the Geopolitical Strategy team in analyzing, reviewing, and translating geopolitical and economic developments into actionable investment insights, with a focus on asset class-specific risk assessments and data synthesis. **Expectations:** - Collaborate closely with investment teams to enhance risk analysis frameworks. - Apply interdisciplinary research methodologies to strengthen internal tools and reporting. - Translate complex global trends into clear, actionable recommendations for asset allocation. **Key Responsibilities:** - Maintain and update quantitative tools for asset-class risk analysis (private investments, infrastructure, real estate, etc.). - Synthesize external intelligence (e.g., S&P, Bloomberg, Transparency International) into structured datasets. - Analyze political, regulatory, security, and reputational indicators to assess market risks. - Develop visualizations and reports to communicate geopolitical insights. - Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and research materials for senior teams. **Required Skills:** - Strong quantitative and qualitative research abilities. - Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, R, SPSS, Python, and/or GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS). - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Capacity to synthesize complex, interdisciplinary data. - Strong written and verbal communication in English; French proficiency an asset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Graduate studies in international relations, economics, finance, security studies, or related fields. - Demonstrated academic excellence and regional/geographic specialization. - Current enrollment in a postgraduate program, with plans to resume studies post-internship.
