Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and reviewing embedded and multi‑processor software solutions for aerospace and defense communication systems. Works across the full software lifecycle from requirements through testing and documentation, collaborating with hardware and systems engineers. **Expactations:** • Extensive experience in C, C++, C#, or Java. • Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and/or RTOS (Linux preferred). • Strong grasp of structured software design methodologies and best practices. • Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork, and documentation skills. • Eligibility for UK Security Clearance is an advantage (not mandatory). **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and review software for small embedded processors and complex multi‑processor networks. - Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams on integrated solutions. - Manage all software lifecycle phases: requirements, design, implementation, integration, and testing. - Produce high‑quality technical documentation. - Evaluate design suitability and actively participate in design reviews. - Support R&D initiatives to improve software quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. - Contribute to proposals and business development activities as needed. **Required Skills:** - Programming: C, C++, C#, or Java. - Operating systems: Windows, Linux, RTOS (Linux preferred). - Software design: structured methodologies, design patterns. - Documentation: requirement specs, design documents, test plans. - Collaboration: cross‑functional teamwork with hardware and systems teams. - Communication: clear verbal and written skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - No mandatory certifications; expertise in embedded system development and automotive/industrial domains preferred.
