**Job Title:** Infrastructure & Network IT Security Specialist
**Role Summary:**
Architect, implement, and manage security controls across data centre, network, and workplace environments for a global insurance client. Ensure compliance with industry frameworks (NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and internal governance standards.
**Expectations:**
- Lead security policy governance and delivery of protective measures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align security strategy with business objectives.
- Maintain and update security architecture, tools, and processes to meet evolving threats and regulatory requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, deploy, and maintain network and infrastructure security solutions (firewalls, proxies, email gateways, routing devices).
- Perform risk analysis, vulnerability assessments, and patch management.
- Configure and automate security controls using scripting (PowerShell, Python).
- Conduct security audits, compliance checks, and report findings to stakeholders.
- Manage identity and access controls, ensuring adherence to IAM best practices.
- Apply NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and ITIL frameworks to governance, risk, and compliance activities.
- Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes within the insurance sector.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep knowledge of data centre/network and workplace architectures.
- Proficiency in security design, cryptography, and network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SMTP).
- Hands‑on experience with security tooling, risk analysis, and governance in complex enterprises.
- Automation and scripting expertise (PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with patch/vulnerability management and IAM technologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Professional certifications preferred: CISA, CISSP, or CRISC.
