Job Description
**Job Title** Business Analyst – Healthcare **Role Summary** Analyze value‑based contracts and data to improve clinical, operational, and financial performance for health plans and systems. Drive product development and testing by translating business requirements into functional specifications, data mapping, and test cases. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate, data‑driven insights that support value‑based payment initiatives. - Work independently in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. - Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** - Gather, define, and document business and functional requirements with stakeholders and decision‑makers. - Create detailed specifications, data mapping, and technical documentation for new and enhanced applications. - Conduct internal and client UAT; define test cases and scripts. - Define processes and workflows to improve product development activities. - Collaborate on planning, design, and implementation of new applications. - Analyze payer data sources (member/enrollment, claims, revenue) and quality measures (HEDIS, STAR Ratings). - Prepare and maintain feature and function documentation, feed specifications, and technical documents. **Required Skills** - 2–4 years of Business Analyst experience in US healthcare or Healthcare IT projects. - Proficiency in SQL and data analysis. - Strong verbal and written communication, listening, and presentation skills. - Ability to translate technical details for non‑technical audiences. - Experience with UAT, test case design, and documentation. - Self‑starter, proactive, and effective in matrixed teams. - Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, or marketplace programs (preferred). - VBP (value‑based payment) knowledge is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. - Certifications (e.g., CBAP, CBIP, or healthcare‑specific) are a bonus.
