Gen‑AI Architect
**Role Summary**
Design, architect, and lead the implementation of scalable generative AI solutions that integrate large language models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and multi‑modal data processing across Azure and Google Cloud platforms. Drive end‑to‑end AI model workflows, secure API exposure, and DevOps pipelines, ensuring data governance, compliance, and operational excellence.
**Expectations**
- Lead the full lifecycle of AI system architecture, from concept to deployment.
- Deliver secure, high‑performance models and APIs using Apigee and cloud‑native security.
- Maintain rigorous data governance and compliance across all AI solutions.
- Mentor cross‑functional teams on AI best practices, prompt engineering, and model optimization.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Architect large‑scale generative AI solutions leveraging Azure Cognitive Services, Google Cloud AI, Azure Document Intelligence, and custom OpenAI models.
2. Design and implement RAG pipelines that ingest heterogeneous data (text, images, documents) to enhance prompt accuracy.
3. Develop prompt‑engineering frameworks and iterative refinement processes for multi‑modal outputs.
4. Integrate proprietary generative AI tools into production workflows and API infrastructure.
5. Manage API gateways (Apigee) to expose AI models securely, applying authentication, rate‑limiting, and audit logging.
6. Ensure alignment with data governance, privacy policies, and compliance tools.
7. Create DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) for model training, testing, deployment, and monitoring on Kubernetes or GKE.
8. Translate business requirements into technical designs for processes such as License Audit, Product Approval, and other critical operations.
**Required Skills**
- Deep expertise in Azure AI services (Cognitive, Document Intelligence, Speech, Vision) and Google Cloud AI platform.
- Proficient with LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) and custom generative modeling.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation concepts and implementation.
- Strong command of Python for automation, API integration, and data processing.
- Advanced experience with Apigee API management, security best practices, and OAuth protocols.
- Competence in Kubernetes‑based model deployment, scaling, and optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud orchestration (GKE Scheduler, Azure Pipelines) and asynchronous messaging (Pub/Sub, Service Bus).
- Proficient with Snowflake for data warehousing, modeling, and analytics integration.
- Experience with OCR and multi‑modal document intelligence technologies.
- Ability to design and maintain production‑grade DevOps pipelines.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field (minimum 5 years of relevant experience).
- Preferred certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate or similar.
- Google Cloud Professional AI Engineer.
- Apigee Edge API Management certification.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent.
- Snowflake Certified Data Engineer.
