Job Description

**Job Title** TP141 Advanced Commissioning Engineer (ACE) – Hybrid **Role Summary** Provide independent commissioning oversight and technical guidance for a portfolio of major sub‑station projects across the Central East region. Conduct readiness audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses to ensure projects meet BP and SR standards and are prepared for energisation. Advise project teams, contractors, and customers on commissioning planning, compliance, and mitigation strategies. **Expactations** - Deliver high‑quality commissioning advice while working autonomously. - Maintain flexible availability (full‑time or part‑time, minimum 3 days/month, on‑site 2 days/week). - Communicate clearly with PM teams, contractors, and stakeholders. - Support early‑stage design reviews when ACE capacity is limited. **Key Responsibilities** - Audit ~20 projects for commissioning readiness, including 1–2 day site visits per project. - Produce concise risk assessments and actionable recommendations. - Review contract documents, scope, design, and programmes; perform gap analyses against BP and SR standards. - Advise project teams, contractors, and customers on commissioning planning, compliance, and team capability. - Support project managers with mitigation strategies and escalation advice. - Occasionally assist with early‑stage design reviews or documentation preparation. **Required Skills** - Proven experience as a TP141 Advanced Commissioning Engineer. - Strong knowledge of sub‑station commissioning processes, standards, and best practices. - Ability to conduct risk assessments and produce clear reports. - Excellent analytical skills for gap analysis against BP/SR standards. - Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills. - Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple schemes. - Desirable: Experience as a Commissioning Panel Chair or Lead ACE. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field. - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., IEC, IET, CENELEC) preferred. - Valid UK driving licence (for site visits).
