Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer – Azure (Banking)
Role Summary
Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models for a large banking environment. Provide 2nd/3rd line operational support, lead cloud migration initiatives, and implement security, monitoring, and disaster recovery solutions. Work closely with IT operations, security, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost‑effective cloud services.
Expectations
- Hands‑on, self‑directed engineer capable of managing complex Azure environments and troubleshooting performance issues promptly.
- Collaborate across teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and maintain alignment with regulatory and risk standards.
- Document architecture, operational procedures, and change approvals; support CAB reviews and post‑implementation stabilization.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend technology upgrades and automation to improve reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain Azure infra, including VMs, Kubernetes, databases, and networking components.
- Lead cloud migration and platform integration projects, coordinating with internal IT and external vendors.
- Deliver 2nd/3rd line support: monitoring, incident response, root‑cause analysis, and escalation for Azure services.
- Implement vulnerability and endpoint management (Tenable, NinjaOne); enforce patching and security controls.
- Configure and administer Office 365, Microsoft Teams, AVD, and other cloud services (M365, Intune).
- Manage Microsoft Server environments (2012‑2019), Active Directory, Group Policy, and desktop deployments.
- Operate ITSM tooling (e.g., Sunrise), and APM solutions (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog).
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and cyber‑security incident readiness.
- Serve as a technical expert during CAB meetings and change implementation.
Required Skills
- 3+ years managing Microsoft Server platforms (2012‑2019), Active Directory, and Windows 11 desktops.
- Proficiency in Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and Azure Administrator (AZ‑104) concepts.
- Experience with Office 365 administration, Microsoft Teams, Intune, SCCM, Nerdio, Chocolatey.
- Hands‑on network administration: firewalls, VLANs, subnetting, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi.
- Familiarity with security tools: vulnerability scanning, endpoint protection, patching systems.
- ITSM experience (Sunrise preferred); monitoring via AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or Datadog.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proactive, collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively in a small, cross‑functional team.
Required Education & Certifications
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (preferred).
- ITIL V4 Foundation (minimum).
- Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104) (preferred).
