Job Description
Job Title: Logistics Data Analyst Role Summary: Analyze logistics, freight, and warehouse data to support budgeting, forecasting, contract negotiations, and continuous improvement. Design BI dashboards, perform financial modelling, and produce operational and commercial reports across global operations. Expectations: - Deliver accurate, timely data insights to influence strategic decisions. - Maintain data integrity across logistics and finance systems. - Drive cost‑control and savings initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop BI dashboards using SQL and BI tools. - Review and validate logistic data sources for accuracy. - Administer tender schedules and manage financial activities related to service contracts. - Conduct global carriage spend analysis and commercial impact modelling. - Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and carrier rate reviews. - Produce operational reports per channel, DC, and cost category. - Prepare cost‑benefit business cases and post‑implementation appraisals. - Create monthly savings and capital expenditure reporting, including actuals vs budget. - Deliver weekly carrier flash reports with variance commentary. - Analyze volume data from 3PL and internal BI systems. - Perform data profiling to uncover anomalies. - Update cost‑to‑serve models and benchmarking platforms. - Communicate findings and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders. - Uphold reporting specifications and design standards. Required Skills: - Strong commercial acumen in logistics and freight contracting. - Proficiency in financial & data modelling, advanced Microsoft Excel. - Experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI); SQL knowledge preferred. - Familiarity with ML concepts is a plus. - Ability to work autonomously while engaging stakeholders. - Structured, analytical thinker with strong attention to detail. - Effective verbal and written communication; presentation skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or related field. - Professional certification in data analytics (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) or logistics management is desirable.
