Job Description
Job title: Divisional Costing Role Summary: Lead cost accounting and control for the Measurement Systems product line, delivering monthly financial reports, cost analyses, inventory valuation, and SOX compliance, while driving profitability and cost‑saving initiatives. Expectations: - Deliver accurate, timely costing data and variance analysis. - Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements. - Provide actionable insights to management on profitability and cost management. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain product line costing parameters and profitability models. - Prepare monthly reporting packages, gross margin reconciliations, and cost variance analyses. - Conduct inventory and work order valuation, control, reserves, and physical counts. - Review and support audit processes, ensuring SOX compliance and effective internal controls. - Analyze project profitability and actual costs; recommend and monitor cost‑saving programs. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve cost accuracy and operational efficiency. Required Skills: - Strong analytical and financial modeling abilities. - Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Experience with ERP systems, specifically Syspro. - Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and SOX compliance. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - CPA or CMA certification preferred. - Minimum 7 years of costing, cost controlling, and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
