**Job Title**
Cloud Engineer
**Role Summary**
Engineers multi‑cloud (Azure/AWS) infrastructure for the Florida Department of Health’s Enterprise Foundational Services. Designs, deploys, secures, and operates cloud environments, develops IaC & CI/CD pipelines, integrates data platforms, monitors performance, and ensures compliance with HIPAA, NIST, and state regulations.
**Expectations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end cloud solutions for EDAP.
- Maintain uptime, cost efficiency, and security posture.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and provide knowledge transfer.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, install, configure, and document Azure and AWS servers and multi‑cloud environments.
- Perform daily monitoring, health checks, and troubleshooting for cloud and on‑prem infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Terraform automation and CI/CD pipelines for deployment and compliance.
- Design, secure, and maintain network connectivity (VNETs, VPNs, firewalls, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect).
- Integrate and support data platforms (Informatica, Databricks, Snowflake, Dataiku) across Azure and AWS.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, storage, and costs; implement tagging and chargeback models.
- Implement security baselines, encryption, identity protection, key management, and RBAC to meet regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate on workload migration, infrastructure modernization, and hybrid integration.
- Maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and deliver knowledge transfer.
- Provide status updates, participate in meetings, and support change management and governance processes.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years designing, implementing, and administering Azure and AWS enterprise environments with focus on architecture, security, and maintenance.
- 5+ years as an enterprise administrator for Windows Server Domain infrastructure.
- 5+ years managing Azure Entra ID and AWS IAM, including policy design, RBAC, and federation.
- 5+ years designing multi‑cloud environments integrated with cloud‑native tools for data and analytics.
- 5+ years architecting and supporting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions across Azure and AWS.
- 5+ years managing cloud networking (VNETs, subnets, VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect).
- 5+ years implementing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.
- 5+ years supporting cloud‑based data tools (Snowflake, Databricks, Informatica, Dataiku) – setup, security, integration.
- 5+ years developing and managing cloud tagging standards, cost optimization, and chargeback models.
- 5+ years implementing identity, access, and policy management across hybrid/multi‑cloud environments.
- 5+ years using Terraform or equivalent IaC for automated, secure deployments.
- 2+ years developing disaster recovery, high availability, and security compliance configurations aligned with HIPAA, NIST, and Florida Administrative Code 60GG‑2.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications preferred:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- Azure/ AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
