Job title: Reinsurance System Developer Role Summary: Support reinsurance managers and operations by maintaining and enhancing the SICS core system. Develop and extend automated processes, APIs, scripts, and interfaces using .NET, SQL, PL/SQL, and SQR. Deliver new web‑based services and cloud‑based solutions, ensuring reliable production environments and seamless data integration across multiple IT teams. Expectations: - Minimum 5 years of professional experience in technical solution development. - Proven experience with SICS or comparable reinsurance systems. - Strong proficiency in .NET, SQL, and Oracle database. - Working knowledge of PL/SQL and SQR (SQL enhanced). - Experience with Docker containerization. - Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services, DevSecOps practices, and Agile frameworks. - Excellent written and spoken English. - Willingness to acquire deeper knowledge of reinsurance business functions. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and troubleshoot existing reinsurance applications and automated processes (batch jobs, interfaces, scripts). - Extend functionality of automated processes and design new web‑based services in collaboration with Business Analysts. - Develop, unit‑test, and deploy .NET, SQL, PL/SQL, and SQR code. - Prepare, organize, and install new SICS releases (service packs, major upgrades). - Act as the primary technical contact with the SICS vendor. - Manage back‑end API development, script creation, and database interface logic. - Participate in code reviews, defect resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills: - .NET framework development (C#, ASP.NET, etc.) - SQL programming (T‑SQL, Oracle PL/SQL) - PL/SQL & SQR scripting - Docker containerization - Oracle database administration and performance tuning - Microsoft Azure cloud platform (compute, storage, services) - DevSecOps toolchain (CI/CD, version control, security scanning) - Agile project management (Scrum, Kanban) - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities - Effective communication in English (technical documentation and collaboration) Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent. - Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience. - Proficiency in English (written and verbal). - (Optional) Relevant certifications in .NET, Oracle, Azure, or Docker are advantageous.
