Job Description: **Job Title** DevSecOps Engineer / Security Engineer IV **Role Summary** Lead the integration of security throughout the software development lifecycle by designing and operating secure CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and implementing automated security testing. Collaborate with development teams to embed DevSecOps best practices in a remote, contract environment. **Expectations** - 5+ years of hands‑on experience in both DevOps and security engineering. - Proven ability to design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD workflows. - Strong communication and teamwork skills to guide developers in security adoption. - Self‑directed, able to work remotely and manage multiple priorities over a 12‑month contract with possible extension. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) with integrated security controls. - Deploy and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform across AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB). - Integrate SCA and SAST tools (beyond single‑vendor usage) to detect and remediate code vulnerabilities. - Conduct and oversee DAST, IAST, and penetration testing for runtime and interactive threat detection. - Embed continuous security checks into build and release processes. - Collaborate with development teams to adopt DevSecOps practices and provide security guidance. - Document security architecture, infrastructure configurations, and deployment procedures. **Required Skills** - CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) and version control (Git). - Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and AWS cloud services. - Application security: SAST, SCA, DAST, IAST, penetration testing fundamentals. - Scripting/automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). - Network, application, and data security principles. - Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Preferred certifications: AWS DevOps Engineer, CISSP, or equivalent security/devops credentials.
