**Job Title:** Senior Data/AI Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data‑driven and AI solutions on Amazon Web Services. Lead real‑time data pipelines, data warehouse integrations, and machine‑learning model deployments while ensuring data security, quality, and governance.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 5 years building end‑to‑end data solutions.
- At least 3 years hands‑on experience with AWS services.
- Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and implement real‑time data pipelines (stream processing, ETL/ELT) using AWS (Lambda, Glue, Kinesis, etc.) and integration tools (Kafka, Talend, Attunity).
- Develop and maintain data warehouses on Redshift, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
- Design, train, and deploy ML models using SageMaker, scikit‑learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, etc.
- Write production‑grade Python and SQL scripts for data ingestion, transformation, and analysis.
- Create and manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and ensure IAM, encryption, and network security best practices.
- Participate in requirements workshops, document data flows, perform gap analysis, and support data governance initiatives.
- Advocate for data quality standards and drive continuous improvement across teams.
**Required Skills:**
- Python, SQL, and AWS Lambda scripting.
- AWS core services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation.
- Real‑time streaming and message‑oriented platforms (Kafka, Kinesis).
- Data integration/ETL tools: AWS Glue, Talend, Attunity/Qlik, etc.
- Cloud data warehouses: Redshift, Snowflake.
- Machine‑learning frameworks: scikit‑learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost.
- Familiarity with Gen AI concepts (prompt engineering, RAG, fine‑tuning) – plus.
- Strong data security knowledge (auth, encryption, network controls).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder facilitation.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Preferred: AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified Data Analytics).
- Additional certifications in data engineering, machine learning, or cloud security are a plus.
