Job Description
Job Title: Backend Engineer (General) Role Summary Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that power market‑data–driven trading and portfolio applications. Focus on stability, performance, and maintainable code for core brokerage and clearing operations. Expectations - Deliver high‑quality, production‑grade code with rigorous testing and code reviews. - Mentor junior developers and lead complex project efforts. - Collaborate closely with product, ops, and cross‑functional teams to meet business goals. Key Responsibilities - Build and evolve scalable backend components, balancing performance and maintainability. - Design, write, test, and release product‑facing features with stringent correctness and scalability requirements. - Identify and implement improvements to system performance, team productivity, and risk mitigation. - Support core brokerage and clearing backend services. - Work with product managers, engineering, and operational teams to shape feature specifications. - Mentor junior developers and lead large‑scope projects. Required Skills - 3+ years of software development experience. - Proficiency in Go and Python. - Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Redis, AWS (or equivalent cloud). - Experience with Kafka and other data‑streaming technologies. - Ability to handle and process large volumes of data. - Demonstrated collaboration with cross‑functional teams and delivery of large‑scope technical projects. - High standards for code quality and thorough code review practices. - Bonus: Experience in fintech or financial institutions working on market‑data systems. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
