**Job title**: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
**Role Summary**:
Design, implement, and manage the migration of enterprise IT environments from on‑premises to hybrid and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). Oversee Windows Server (2016‑2022) and Linux server stacks, maintain Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, and vSphere infrastructures, and drive automation and DevOps practices to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
**Expectations**:
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience in cloud and on‑prem infrastructure.
- 6 years of hands‑on expertise with Azure, AWS, Microsoft Server technologies, Linux, vSphere, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; or 3 years of additional directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Architect and execute end‑to‑end migrations of servers, storage, and applications to Azure/AWS.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2016‑2022, Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu), VMware ESXi/NSX, and related services (AD, Exchange, O365).
- Develop and maintain IaC pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub.
- Configure and monitor infrastructure using SolarWinds, Rubrik, and cloud native tools.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and security hardening.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and runbooks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (network, security, application) and external vendors.
- Assess and implement process improvements and automation to reduce incident resolution time.
**Required Skills**:
- On‑prem to cloud migration strategy and execution (Azure, AWS).
- Windows Server (2016‑2022), Linux OS installation and management.
- Microsoft AD, Exchange, Office 365 administration.
- VMware vSphere (ESXi/NSX) configuration and management.
- Cloud services: Azure, AWS, VMware, Rubrik.
- DevOps tooling: Terraform, Ansible, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines.
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
- Monitoring & alerting: SolarWinds, cloud native monitoring.
- Scripting: PowerShell, Bash.
- Analytical reasoning, troubleshooting, documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or 3 years of equivalent experience).
- Azure Certifications (AZ-900/AZ-104/AZ-303/304) – preferred.
- AWS Certifications (Associate/Professional) – preferred.
- Microsoft Certifications (MCSA/MCSE) – preferred.
- Project Management or ITIL certification – advantageous.
