Job title: Head of Management Accounts (UK) Role Summary: Lead the management accounting function for the UK, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting, compliance with IFRS, tax laws and internal controls. Oversee a team of three direct reports, drive process improvements, and partner with operations and group finance on budgeting, forecasting and ad‑hoc analysis. Expectations: - Deliver weekly, monthly and year‑end internal reports on schedule. - Maintain audit‑ready quality and integrity of management accounts. - Manage a high‑performing team and support their professional development. - Champion continuous improvement and system enhancements across the finance function. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and review subsidiary accounts for external reporting. - Control and review balance sheet balances. - Enforce strict adherence to financial controls and H&S procedures. - Provide finance partnering to UK and non‑UK operations. - Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes. - Draft management accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, IFRS and relevant tax legislation. - Drive efficiency through change management initiatives. - Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders. Required Skills: - Fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA or ACA. - Strong technical accounting background. - Advanced proficiency in Excel. - Proven management and leadership abilities. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Ability to build and maintain effective relationships. - Flexibility to travel nationally and have a UK driving licence. Job Description
**Job Title** Security & Defence Administrator **Role Summary** Provide integrated administrative and security support to the UTAC Defence Office, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient daily operations while managing stakeholder relationships, project logistics, and facility management. **Expectations** - Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all security protocols. - Demonstrate high professionalism, discretion, and integrity. - Deliver accurate and timely administrative support across multiple priorities. - Ensure compliance with national security vetting, ISO standards, and health & safety regulations. **Key Responsibilities** - **Defence Team Support** - Assist project managers with planning and execution of Defence projects. - Manage calendars, meetings, travel, visitor access, and official correspondence. - Raise purchase orders, reconcile invoices with Finance. - Maintain KPI dashboards and training records. - Coordinate office supplies, equipment, and facility requests. - **Stakeholder Engagement** - Build and maintain relationships with on‑site customers and external contractors. - Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders for seamless operations. - **Event Management** - Plan and execute events (10–60 participants) from preparation to on‑day delivery. - Coordinate briefings, official visits, and stakeholder administration. - **Security Controller (Delegated)** - Primary contact for MOD‑related security matters: physical access, information security, regulatory compliance. - Handle classified information per security procedures. - Support Security Manager and Senior Manager in implementing security controls. - Arrange security education and awareness training. - Report breaches promptly and maintain breach register. - Oversee BPSS pre‑vetting and National Security Vetting processes. - Participate on the Information Security Board (ISB). - **Facility Management** - Liaise with building management, IT, and support departments. - Oversee daily office operations, procurement, and maintenance. - Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain workplace policies. - **General Conduct** - Act in accordance with UTAC staff behaviours and values at all times. **Required Skills** - Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities. - Strong problem‑solving mindset. - Ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and attention to detail. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite, calendar management, and document handling. - Familiarity with government security protocols and stakeholder engagement. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree or proven experience in administrative or office support. - Project Management qualification (APMP, PRINCE2, MAPM) preferred. - Experience in Security & Defence sector, project delivery, or office management essential. - Experience in engineering environments, event management, UK Government organisations, or contractor management desirable. - Knowledge of ISO27001 and ISO9001 considered an asset.
