Job Description: **Job Title:** Data Engineer **Role Summary:** Senior data engineering professional responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes. Utilizes Python, SQL, and AWS services to support modern data architectures and facilitate data-driven decision making across the organization. **Expectations:** - Deliver robust, efficient data solutions within defined timelines. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders. - Drive data integration, migration, and modernization initiatives. - Uphold data governance, security, and compliance standards in cloud environments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python and SQL. - Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading workflows. - Leverage AWS services (SageMaker, AWS Unified Studio, Glue, Redshift, etc.) to build scalable data platforms. - Conduct data integration and migration projects to modern data ecosystems. - Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering artifacts. - Monitor and troubleshoot production data pipelines, ensuring data quality and reliability. - Work with data governance teams to enforce data security, privacy, and compliance policies. **Required Skills:** - 5+ years of data engineering and ETL development experience. - Strong proficiency in Python and SQL. - Deep knowledge of AWS data services (SageMaker, Glue, Redshift, Athena, etc.). - Experience with data modernization or migration projects. - Solid problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration abilities. - Familiarity with CI/CD for data engineering. - Hands‑on experience with cloud‑based data platforms (AWS preferred). **Nice to Have:** - SAS and WebFOCUS experience for advanced analytics and reporting. - Exposure to machine learning workflows and data science integration. - Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate) are highly desirable.
