Job title: Azure Cloud Architect (Identity & Governance)
Role Summary:
Senior Azure platform architect responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing secure, scalable, and cost‑effective Azure environments that support enterprise application delivery.
Expectations:
- Deliver solutions that meet security, compliance, and performance standards in highly regulated, mission‑critical contexts.
- Drive continuous improvement in governance, cost control, and operational excellence while collaborating with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce Azure governance frameworks (policies, guardrails, RBAC, naming, compliance).
- Implement Zero‑Trust security controls and monitor through Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, and Application Insights.
- Optimize availability, performance, observability, DR, and incident response.
- Apply FinOps principles to analyze, forecast, and reduce Azure spend; enforce tagging, budgets, reporting.
- Deliver reusable IaC patterns (Bicep, Terraform, ARM) and automation pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Enable self‑service landing zones, reusable modules, and automated provisioning for Cloud Engineers and App teams.
- Integrate on‑premises and hybrid workloads (Azure AD/Entra ID, AD DS, Azure Stack HCI, VDI/W365, ExpressRoute, VPN, Azure Arc).
- Support modernization of legacy applications to hybrid/edge cloud architectures.
Required Skills:
- Enterprise‑scale Azure design, implementation, and management experience.
- Deep knowledge of Azure governance, security, identity (Azure AD/Entra ID, AD DS, hybrid), networking, and resource management.
- Hands‑on IaC with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM and automation pipeline development (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency in monitoring, observability, SRE, ITIL, DevOps frameworks.
- FinOps expertise and cloud cost analysis tools.
- Experience with Azure Stack HCI, VDI/W365, or similar hybrid/edge services is a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Azure certifications preferred: AZ‑104, AZ‑305, AZ‑400, AZ‑500 or equivalent.
