**Job Title:** IT Support Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Provide mid‑ to high‑level technical support for on‑premises, virtual, and cloud infrastructure. Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable IT environments while ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance. Deliver proactive monitoring, timely troubleshooting, and comprehensive documentation across Windows, Linux, and multi‑cloud platforms.
**Expectations:**
- Part‑time (20 h per week) W2 contract role.
- Fluency in Mandarin preferred but not mandatory.
- Able to work independently and collaborate cross‑functionally.
- Must pass background screening and abide by security protocols.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure IT infrastructure (physical, virtual, cloud).
- Manage servers (Windows & Linux) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Execute patch management, updates, and automated scripting (PowerShell, Python).
- Configure and monitor networks (LAN/WAN, VPN) and security devices (firewalls, IDS).
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery strategies; conduct regular testing.
- Deploy monitoring solutions (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.); analyze performance and capacity.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, security audits, and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA.
- Offer Level 2/3 support; resolve user issues and document troubleshooting procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors and external service providers for hardware/software procurement and support.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python).
- Network fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VPN, routing, switching, firewalls).
- Backup and DRP planning/implementation.
- Monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.).
- Security measures, vulnerability assessment, and compliance (ISO 27001, NIST).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (or equivalent).
