Job Description: Job Title: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer Role Summary: Design, implement, and evaluate advanced security solutions for high‑assurance systems handling classified or sensitive data. Lead architecture, risk assessment, and mentorship while ensuring compliance with NIST CSF and CMMI frameworks. Expectations: - 8+ years protecting classified or sensitive information. - Must be clearable for security clearance. - Proven independent technical leadership and mentoring abilities. - Strong communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Define and document security requirements for high‑assurance systems and applications. - Evaluate security technologies and products for suitability in classified or sensitive environments. - Design and implement MLS‑compliant solutions addressing data separation and access control. - Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments aligned with NIST CSF and CMMI maturity models. - Provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and deliver defensible security solutions. - Collaborate with stakeholders to align security solutions with mission, compliance, and operational needs. Required Skills: - Advanced MLS architecture and design expertise. - Deep knowledge of security architecture, NIST CSF, CMMI, and risk assessment. - Proficiency in penetration testing, adversarial assessment, intrusion detection, monitoring, and log analysis. - Experience with PKI, cryptographic key management, strong authentication, and identity assurance. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline. - Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, or equivalent security credentials.
