Job Description

Job Title: QA Engineer Role Summary: Conduct comprehensive quality assurance for software platforms in the energy sector, ensuring reliability and compliance through both manual and automated testing. Expectations: - Deliver accurate test cases and execute thorough functional, regression, and exploratory tests. - Identify, document, and track defects in a bug‑tracking system. - Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and improve QA processes. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain test cases (manual and automated). - Execute tests, record results, and report findings. - Log bugs, assign severity, and verify fixes. - Perform regression testing after each build cycle. - Support continuous improvement of QA methodologies and tools. - Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives). Required Skills: - Proven experience in software QA/testing. - Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies. - Proficiency with bug tracking tools such as Jira. - Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Nice-to-Have Skills: - Test automation with Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks. - API testing proficiency using Postman. - Experience working in Agile environments. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Professional certifications (e.g., ISTQB Foundation) preferred but not mandatory.
