Job Description
Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Build & Run) Role Summary DevOps Engineer responsible for modernizing and industrializing critical application platforms for a major banking entity. Works on migrating legacy applications to internal cloud, building CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, and ensuring high availability and reliability of production systems. Expectations - Deliver robust, automated build and release processes for mission‑critical applications. - Maintain operational excellence, incident response, and performance tuning. - Collaborate across production and infrastructure teams to deploy and oversee cloud‑native workloads. - Commit to continuous improvement of tooling, monitoring, and deployment practices. Key Responsibilities **Build** - Design, implement, and evolve CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins). - Automate deployment pipelines using Ansible and Terraform. - Drive migrations of legacy workloads to Kubernetes/OpenShift environments. - Continuously refine integration and delivery pipelines for efficiency and reliability. **Run** - Execute and monitor production deployments. - Handle N2/N3 incident management, anomaly investigation, and resolution. - Configure and maintain monitoring stacks (ELK, Grafana, Prometheus). - Participate in on‑call rotations and shift‑lead responsibilities. - Optimize performance and reliability of production environments. Required Skills - Minimum 4 years of professional DevOps experience. - Strong expertise in Kubernetes (client and cluster administration). - Proficiency with Docker containerization, OpenShift, and container orchestration concepts. - Experience with CI/CD tooling: GitLab CI, Jenkins, and pipeline scripting. - Automation skills: Ansible, Terraform, scripting (Bash, Python, or similar). - Deep knowledge of Linux (RHEL) operating systems and system administration. - Monitoring and observability: ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus. - Exposure to private/hybrid cloud environments. - Ability to manage production systems in regulated, high‑availability contexts (banking preferred). - Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Relevant certifications (preferred): Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Red Hat Certified Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, or equivalent.
