Job Description
Job title: Document Controller Role Summary: Manage, control, and archive all project‑related documents within the Construction South team, ensuring accuracy, security, and accessibility across the full project lifecycle. Expectations: 6‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role; collaborate with Design Managers, consultants, supply chain partners, and internal stakeholders to maintain effective communication and document management. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and maintain document control processes and procedures for assigned projects. - Track and monitor document status, delivering regular updates and reports on progress and distribution. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and project‑specific document requirements. - Facilitate communication and information sharing across the project team. - Coordinate with external partners to ensure seamless document exchange and adherence to timelines. - Conduct regular reviews and audits of document control processes to improve efficiency and maintain best practices. Required Skills: - Proven experience in Document Control or Information Management. - Strong knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) / Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS) usage throughout project lifecycle. - Familiarity with Viewpoint for Projects (4Projects/4P), Dalux, or comparable systems (e.g., Aconex, A‑site). - Proficiency in MS Office Suite. - Ability to manage documentation across multiple simultaneous projects. - Experience managing a shared Information Management inbox with prompt responses. - Excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with external consultants and partners. - High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
