Data Reporting Analyst
Job Description
**Job title:** Data Reporting Analyst **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and optimize SQL-based data extraction and transformation logic, and build interactive Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights for business stakeholders. Leverage Snowflake for performant queries, maintain data integrity throughout ETL/ELT pipelines, and collaborate closely with users to translate business requirements into clear visual reports. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate, timely, and visually compelling reports that enable data‑driven decision making. - Optimize query performance and cost efficiency in a cloud data warehouse environment. - Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to understand and prioritize reporting needs. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Write, test, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for data extraction and analysis. 2. Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications. 3. Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, applying best practices in data modeling, data visualization, and user experience. 4. Execute Snowflake queries, tuning for performance and cost, and ensuring proper indexing and clustering. 5. Support ETL/ELT processes, validate data integrity across pipelines, and troubleshoot data quality issues. 6. Evaluate and recommend improvements to reporting architecture and tooling. **Required Skills:** - Advanced SQL (query writing, joins, aggregates, window functions). - Experience with Snowflake (query optimization, warehousing). - Power BI development (dashboard creation, DAX, data modeling). - Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline tools. - Ability to write efficient, maintainable code and apply performance tuning. - Strong verbal and written communication; stakeholder liaison skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Snowflake Data Engineer, or SQL Database Administrator).
