Job Description

Job Title: Cloud Engineer Role Summary: Full-stack software engineer focused on designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, with expertise in Java EE, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices. Expectations: Bachelor’s degree + 10 years IT experience in software architecture/design; advanced proficiency in cloud solutions and agile methodologies. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure on AWS (GovCloud). - Develop CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven) and automate delivery processes. - Migrate on-premises applications to AWS cloud environments using Terraform/CloudFormation. - Architect full-stack web solutions (Java, Angular, RESTful APIs) and resolve complex technical issues. - Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and implement secure, high-performance systems. - Optimize processes, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain technical documentation. - Mentor teams, evaluate emerging technologies, and align solutions with agile frameworks. Required Skills: - AWS services (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway) and cloud-native development. - Java EE (Spring, JEE), Python, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and front-end frameworks (Angular, Bootstrap). - Containerization (Docker) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). - CI/CD pipeline implementation (Jenkins, GitLab) and DevOps workflows. - Database design (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and query optimization. - Agile software development and cross-functional collaboration. Required Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or equivalent; 10+ years IT experience. AWS, DevOps, or Java certification preferred.
