Job Title: Machine Learning AI Engineer Role Summary: Serve as a contract engineer to simplify vehicle software development by designing reusable Python-based tools, frameworks, and ML features that enhance developer agility and enable new automotive value streams. Expectations: 3 days onsite per week (Ann Arbor, MI or Palo Alto, CA), 1‑year contract with possible extension, W2 status only. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain reusable software components and frameworks in Python. - Lead development of machine‑learning features and integrate models into complex build pipelines. - Deploy ML models to automotive hardware and ensure seamless operation with sensors, OS, and compute platforms. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, providing architecture, design, and best‑practice guidance. - Write scalable, well‑tested code and automate pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar. - Conduct model validation (cross‑validation, robustness testing) and maintain rigorous unit test coverage. - Continuously learn across the tech stack and adapt designs to evolving automotive requirements.
