Job Description
**Job Title:** Accounts Assistant (Accounts Receivable Specialist) **Role Summary:** Support the group finance function by managing the full accounts receivable cycle, ensuring accurate invoicing, cash allocation, and reconciliation of customer accounts. Provide reliable reporting and assist in month‑end and balance sheet activities to maintain cash flow visibility for regional and global stakeholders. **Expectations:** - Own the A/R process with a high level of accuracy and timeliness. - Resolve payment issues promptly to minimise aged debt. - Deliver clear, concise reporting and maintain up‑to‑date ledgers. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create and send invoices, allocate cash receipts, and reconcile customer accounts. - Process payments, post transactions correctly, and perform regular bank reconciliations. - Manage credit control, including setting up SEPA direct debits and handling bounced/rejected payments. - Proactively chase overdue invoices and resolve payment queries. - Maintain accurate ledgers and produce cash flow and A/R reports. - Support month‑end close activities and balance sheet reconciliation. - Prepare monthly reporting packs for the regional and global head office. **Required Skills:** - Proven knowledge of accounts receivable processes. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Strong analytical, methodical, and detail‑oriented approach. - Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - AAT qualification, or currently studying for ACCA/CIMA, or a degree in Finance & Accounting.
