Job Title: IT Expert Project Manager Role Summary: Lead multiple large‑scale utility and IT initiatives, managing high‑value programs, guiding senior project teams, and ensuring delivery across planning, execution, and financial governance. Expectations: • 12‑month contract, mid‑level role with expected $80‑$100/hr. • Manage $5M+ budgets, 10+ FTEs per project, and complex portfolios. Key Responsibilities: - Oversight of multiple $5M+ projects, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery. - Lead and coordinate teams of Senior Project Managers and PMAs. - Support PMO leadership with resource planning, staffing optimization, and portfolio execution. - Develop business cases, determine budgets, and establish staffing plans. - Conduct performance assessments for PMAs and PMs at key milestones. - Take ownership of challenged or at-risk projects, driving corrective actions. - Serve as SME on project methodologies, financial analytics, and performance metrics. - Perform estimating, scope management, risk management, QA reviews, and inspections. - Mentor and coach project managers and analysts. - Track and report client satisfaction, variance analysis, and performance statistics. Required Skills: - 8+ years IT Project Management with focus on staffing and resource management. - Experience managing ≥30 FTEs on a 12+ month project and ≥5 large projects ($5M+). - Proficient in utility work management (customer requests, grid interconnection) and electric operations. - Expertise in Asset Work Management: distribution poles, transmission towers, substations. - Skilled with enterprise systems: SAP PM / EAM, GIS, Customer Web Portal, CC&B, Documentum. - Experience with PDM and PPMC tools. - Strong estimation, financial analysis, scope control, risk management, and QA skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. - PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent mandatory.
