**Job Title:**
IT System Engineer (Junior to Mid-Level)
**Role Summary:**
Support and maintain Windows and Azure server environments, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure stability and performance. Perform configuration, monitoring, patching, and automation tasks, and work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
**Expectations:**
- Autonomy in managing day‑to‑day operations while collaborating effectively.
- Strong process awareness, precise documentation, and accurate change/incident follow‑up.
- Clear communication in French and English; Dutch an asset.
- Proactive root‑cause analysis and implementation of long‑term solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and Azure systems.
- Monitor and optimize system performance using tools such as Zabbix and Dynatrace.
- Manage DNS, DHCP, firewall settings, and virtual network components.
- Apply patches and upgrades for Windows and Linux platforms.
- Coordinate incident resolution and change management, including escalation to external partners.
- Automate deployment of scripts and software via PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, and GitLab.
- Document procedures, translate technical information for end users, and support customer‑facing teams.
- Participate in small projects and cross‑functional meetings focused on Windows infrastructure.
**Required Skills:**
- Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10/11, Azure AD, AAD Connect, Azure.
- Linux (Red Hat 8/9, CentOS 9) and OpenShift (v4.16–4.18) knowledge.
- DNS/DHCP administration, virtual networking, firewall troubleshooting.
- Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Ansible; version control with Git/GitLab.
- Monitoring tools: Zabbix, Dynatrace.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and change‑management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English (Dutch a plus).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and diagramming tools.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Windows systems.
- Certifications (preferred): Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Windows Server, Azure Fundamentals, Red Hat Certified System Administrator, Ansible Automation, FortiGate, or equivalent.
