**Job Title:** Senior DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead end-to-end CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and operation for high‑availability, microservices-based applications on Kubernetes in AWS. Drive automation, infrastructure as code, and security compliance while ensuring continuous delivery and system resilience.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver scalable, secure, and highly available production systems.
- Mentor and collaborate with cross‑functional teams in engineering and operations.
- Own rollout of Kubernetes upgrades, CRDs, operators, and related infrastructure tasks.
- Address vulnerability management and compliance (PCI, SOC‑2) across the environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or equivalent tools.
- Provision, configure, and manage AWS resources (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Deploy and upgrade Kubernetes clusters, manage workloads, and implement custom operators and CRDs.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning via IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Manage container registry, image scanning, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
- Create and maintain runbooks, run‑time documentation, and operational guidance.
- Apply software engineering best practices: TDD, unit/integration testing, code coverage metrics, version control hygiene.
- Collaborate on architecture decisions to ensure scalability, resilience, and security.
- Participate in incident response and post‑mortem analysis to improve reliability.
**Required Skills:**
- 8+ years of software/engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python (BC+), Go, and Bash scripting.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC tools.
- Extensive experience with AWS public‑cloud services and architecture patterns.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
- Background in vulnerability management, compliance (PCI, SOC‑2), and secure configuration.
- Strong version‑control practices with Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
- Excellent written communication for documentation, runbooks, and design specs.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Optional certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar.
