Job title: AWS Security Engineer Role Summary: Independently design, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS environments, focusing on continuous monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and secure CI/CD pipelines. Expactations: Must be a seasoned security professional capable of autonomous decision‑making; junior or trainable candidates will not be considered. Key Responsibilities: - Configure and manage AWS Security Hub, including integration with third‑party tools and automated remediation workflows. - Assess and remediate vulnerabilities in Terraform IaC, ensuring code‑driven security. - Secure CI/CD pipelines by implementing static and dynamic analysis, dependency scanning, and policy enforcement. - Oversee Docker image security: scanning, vulnerability assessment, and image hardening practices. - Apply cloud security best practices (identity & access management, network segmentation, data protection) across all AWS services. - Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to embed security into development lifecycle. Required Skills: - Deep hands‑on expertise with AWS Security Hub and its integration ecosystem. - Proficiency in Terraform IaC security, including drift detection and remediation. - Experience securing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline, etc.) and implementing automated security checks. - Strong knowledge of Docker image scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Clair, Aqua). - Solid understanding of AWS security services (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Inspector, Config). - Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and produce remediation plans. - Excellent communication and independent working style. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - AWS Certified Security – Specialty (preferred); other AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are advantageous.
