Job Description
**Job title** IT Intern – Technical Support (PC Refresh Project) **Role Summary** A 6‑week, 30‑hour/week internship providing Level 2 technical support for a PC refresh initiative. Responsibilities include managing ticketing requests, installing and configuring Windows 11 workstations, troubleshooting deployment incidents, and documenting procedures to ensure smooth user migration. **Expectations** - Deliver tasks within project timelines. - Maintain clear, bilingual communication with users and stakeholders. - Follow ITIL‑aligned processes and contribute to continuous improvement. - Keep accurate documentation of support activities. **Key Responsibilities** - Process and track PC refresh requests in Remedy ticketing system. - Install, configure, and replace computer hardware and software on Windows 11 platforms. - Provide Level 2 assistance to end users during migration, resolving installation‑related issues. - Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and best practices. - Communicate status updates and resolution details to users and project team. - Participate in service‑improvement meetings and update project documentation. **Required Skills** - Excellent written and oral communication in English and French. - Basic troubleshooting of Windows hardware and software. - Familiarity with PC hardware installation, OS deployment, and Windows 11 configuration. - Experience with ticketing systems (Remedy preferred). - Strong problem‑solving, time‑management, and attention‑to‑detail skills. - Team‑oriented, customer‑focused service mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** - Currently enrolled in a college or university degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - No mandatory certifications; optional relevant credentials include CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
