Job Description
**Job title:** Network Administrator (Mid-Level) **Role Summary:** Maintain, monitor, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support, lead deployments, and document network topology and changes. **Expactations:** - 3–5+ years of hands‑on network administration. - Proven expertise with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems. - Solid knowledge of routing/switching protocols (VLANs, OSPF, BGP). - Experience in hybrid cloud (Azure/AWS) and security tools (Forcepoint, CrowdStrike). - Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. - Ability to support on‑call rotation and off‑hour support. **Key Responsibilities:** - Configure, manage, and patch network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless). - Monitor performance, troubleshoot outages, and implement upgrades. - Set up and maintain LAN/WAN, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and core services. - Lead network deployments, configuration changes, and enhancements. - Document topology, configuration, and change‑management records. - Enforce network security policies, respond to incidents, and support security platforms. - Provide support for Windows Server, desktop environments, and Microsoft 365. - Act as Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex network issues. - Participate in on‑call rotation and weekend/after‑hours support. **Required Skills:** - Cisco networking equipment and firewall implementation. - Routing/switching protocols (VLAN, OSPF, BGP). - Network security principles and tools. - Hybrid cloud networking (Azure, AWS). - Troubleshooting and analytical problem‑solving. - Documentation and communication proficiency. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - CCNA/CCNP or comparable Cisco certifications. - CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification preferred.
