Job Title: Testing Specialist
Role Summary: Lead comprehensive testing activities—including UAT, integration, API, performance, and automation—for complex health exchange systems, ensuring high-quality releases through rigorous test design, execution, and defect management.
Expactations: 5+ years of IT testing experience, proficiency in Java/JavaScript/TypeScript, 2+ years of microservices/API automation, BDD expertise (Cucumber), strong framework development skills, and hands‑on automation tooling (Playwright, Selenium, etc.). Collaboration with development and cross‑functional teams, Agile/Iterative SDLC fluency, and ability to deliver detailed test documentation and reports.
Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain test cases, scenarios, scripts, and data for UAT, regression, integration, API, and performance testing. • Execute manual and automated test cycles, document results, and track defects with a defect tracking system. • Develop and sustain automation frameworks (Java/JavaScript based) and publish coverage reports. • Conduct API testing (ReadyAPI, Newman, etc.) and performance testing (JMeter, Gatling, BlazeMeter) including load, stress, and baseline modeling. • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate requirements and coordinate UAT activities. • Perform peer reviews of test artifacts and provide feedback. • Support continuous integration via Jenkins and Git, and leverage Sauce Labs or similar platforms for cross‑browser testing. • Manage test data preparation, validation, and cleanup.
Required Skills: • Java, JavaScript, TypeScript programming. • Automation tools: Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Aura, etc. • Test management and defect tracking tools. • API testing tools (ReadyAPI, Newman). • Performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, BlazeMeter). • CI/CD integration (Jenkins, Git). • BDD methodology. • SQL and database validation (PostgreSQL, other enterprise DBs). • Mobile, system, data migration, and RPA testing knowledge (optional). • Agile and SDLC QA best practices.
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSM, or equivalent) preferred.
