Job Description
Job Title: Artificial Intelligence Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end AI pipelines for cost modeling, carbon estimation, and supply‑chain analytics. Lead model research, prototyping, productionization, and monitoring, collaborating cross‑functionally to translate business requirements into deployed solutions. Expectations: Deliver robust, scalable AI services in an early‑stage, fast‑moving environment; own model lifecycle from data ingestion through continuous delivery; communicate effectively with product, sales, and customer teams; adapt to ambiguity and rapidly evolving priorities. Key Responsibilities: - Build and orchestrate AI pipelines: data preprocessing, model training, inference as reusable services. - Prototype and validate new techniques (LLMs, graph models, domain logic) to improve accuracy, coverage, and latency. - Deploy models to production, set up monitoring dashboards, and address reliability/performance issues. - Collaborate with product and stakeholder teams to translate real‑world use cases into AI solutions. - Contribute to architecture decisions and roadmap for the AI stack. Required Skills: - 3+ years experience building/operating AI systems (LLMs, knowledge graphs, or similar). - Strong Python programming; proficient in APIs, service wiring, and orchestration frameworks. - Full AI lifecycle experience: data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, CI/CD, monitoring. - Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - (Optional) Domain expertise in manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, or sustainability; startup/team wearing multiple hats. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. - Relevant certifications in AI/ML (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) are a plus.
