**Job Title:** Senior Vehicle Chassis Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead the design, development, and production implementation of chassis systems—including suspension, steering, braking, and frame—for solar‑electric three‑wheeled vehicles. Drive technical solutions from concept through manufacturing, ensure integration with vehicle controls, and uphold performance, safety, and homologation standards.
**Expectations:**
- 5‑7 years of hands‑on chassis engineering experience on automotive, motorcycle, or 3‑wheeled vehicles.
- Proven ability to deliver complete chassis solutions from design to production.
- Strong collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Capability to work onsite and manage supplier/fabricator relationships.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and engineer suspension, steering, braking, and full chassis frame systems.
- Produce and maintain CAD models (CATIA V5‑6), technical drawings, GD&T specifications, and packaging layouts.
- Conduct analytical studies, simulations, and calculations to validate kinematics, dynamics, stability, ride comfort, and safety.
- Lead supplier selection, outsourcing, and manufacturing of chassis components (casting, forging, machining, stamping, extrusion, joining).
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams to define functional parameters, installation procedures, and system integration.
- Define and track compliance and homologation requirements throughout the vehicle prove‑out process.
- Create and manage engineering documentation per company processes.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced proficiency in CATIA V5‑6 (CAD modeling, drawing interpretation).
- Deep knowledge of chassis fundamentals: suspension, steering, braking, dynamics, and vehicle stability.
- Experience with GD&T, layout/packaging, and material selection for prototype and production.
- Strong analytical, simulation, and calculation abilities for chassis performance.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and supplier liaison skills.
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on precision manufacturing and assembly.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., SAE, ASME) desirable but not mandatory.
