Project Manager – Operations Analyst II (Home Lending)
**Role Summary**
Lead cross‑functional initiatives to improve residential mortgage loan documentation integrity and compliance. Serve as primary liaison with custodian partners, manage exception resolution, and implement data‑driven process improvements. Leverage analytics, AI, and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen controls in a fast‑paced environment.
**Expectations**
- Complete project deliverables within a 1‑year contract.
- Maintain alignment among operations, quality control, underwriting, closing, and leadership teams.
- Ensure compliance with custodial, investor, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver actionable insights and executive‑level presentations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Initiate and drive multi‑team projects, ensuring timely execution and change management.
- Act as the primary custodian partner liaison, managing document exception resolution and compliance.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify root causes, patterns, and trends in exception metrics.
- Design and deploy analytical solutions and AI‑powered tools to automate exception workflows.
- Produce clear, professional reporting for custodians, internal stakeholders, and senior management.
- Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration across operations, QC, underwriting, and closing teams.
- Maintain data integrity through automated extraction, processing, and reporting of metrics.
- Evaluate process gaps, assess risks, and recommend decisions impacting departmental outcomes and custodian relations.
- Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities proactively to management.
**Required Skills**
- Proven project management experience (3+ years) across multiple organizational layers.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and partnering abilities.
- Advanced data analytics skills (Alteryx, Tableau, Python) and experience extracting insights from large data sets.
- Proficiency in process improvement, automation strategy development, and operational workflow design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; capacity to create executive‑level presentations and reports.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work independently, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years experience in mortgage banking, loan operations, document custody, or quality assurance.
- Certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or relevant data analytics credentials are a plus.
