**Job Title**
Senior Pega Developer
**Role Summary**
Lead end‑to‑end Pega platform upgrade initiatives and maintain enterprise Pega applications. Provide technical ownership of impact analysis, rule remediation, testing, deployment, and post‑upgrade support while collaborating with architects, business users, and QA teams.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 8+ years of Pega development experience, including 3–4 years focused on full upgrade projects.
- Deep knowledge of Pega rule types, case management, data pages, integrations, UI.
- Proven track record upgrading between major Pega releases (e.g., 7.x → 8.x, 8.x → 8.8/8.9).
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with distributed teams.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and documentation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan, analyze, and execute Pega upgrade projects from assessment through regression testing and rollout.
- Refactor, modify, and optimize rules to ensure compatibility with new platform versions.
- Perform impact analysis, rule remediation, and scripting adjustments.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and QA to validate migrated solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex rules, integrations, performance, and compatibility issues during upgrade cycles.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, upgrade plans, and deployment artifacts.
- Support production incidents related to upgrades and enhancements.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced proficiency in Pega Designer Studio, Pega Rules, Case Management, Data Pages, JavaScript, CSS, and Java integration concepts.
- Experience with PDC, Deployment Manager, and Pega DevOps pipelines.
- Strong debugging, log analysis, and performance optimization capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clean, maintainable rule sets and perform regression testing.
- Solid understanding of Pega governance, guardrails, and security best‑practice.
- Effective verbal and written communication; client‑facing presentation skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Pega Certified Senior Architect (CSA) or Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) preferred.
