Job Description
**Job Title** Senior Civil Engineer – Large Projects **Role Summary** Lead and manage the execution of large‑scale construction and rehabilitation projects within a building‑sector firm. Work under or directly in support of the Director of Works to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. **Expectations** - Deliver project execution independently or in partnership with senior management. - Maintain rigorous technical traceability and financial control. - Adhere to QHSE regulations and site procedures. - Demonstrate autonomy, meticulous organization, and effective teamwork. **Key Responsibilities** - Prepare and launch sites: issue PAC, DICT, PPSPS documentation. - Participate in knowledge‑transfer meetings with pricing studies and Director of Works. - Define construction methods, phasing, and time‑phased execution plan. - Produce operative metrics and initiate supplier/sub‑contractor procurement. - Coordinate and validate execution drawings with the Design Authority and control office. - Monitor on‑site progress: hours, concrete, steel consumption. - Draft and review monthly work statements; track billing and adjust for variances. - Identify, quantify, and monitor value‑add or –loss items. - Ensure compliance with QHSE rules, procedures, and site safety requirements. **Required Skills** - Advanced project management of civil works. - Proficient reading of construction drawings and contracts. - Strong coordination of multiple stakeholders (design teams, contractors, sub‑contractors). - Solid financial tracking: labor, material quantities, cost variance analysis. - Decision‑making ability in technical validation and resource allocation. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relational skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - BAC +5 or equivalent Engineer Generalist diploma specializing in Civil Engineering, Construction, or BTP. - Minimum 6 years of experience in major works (grands oeuvre) and rehabilitation projects. - Preferred certifications: Construction Management or Technical Engineer accreditation.
