Job title: Industrial Systems and Network Integrator Engineer (M/F)
Role Summary: Engineer and integrator responsible for designing, modernizing, and ensuring the performance, availability, and cyber‑security of industrial OT systems used in water and wastewater infrastructure. Works closely with business stakeholders, technical partners, and project teams to deliver resilient, compliant solutions.
Expactations: Deliver high‑quality system integrations that meet regulatory requirements and performance goals. Lead cross‑functional projects within budget and schedule, provide Level 3 technical support, drive automation and resilience initiatives, and continuously improve security postures and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and modernize R&D environments, virtualisation, storage, and industrial networks.
- Automate processes to enhance system resilience and operational efficiency.
- Ensure availability and performance of mission‑critical infrastructures.
- Protect OT environments against cyber‑threats in compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation and security records.
- Train and raise security awareness among operational teams.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions, integrating regulatory and security constraints.
- Coordinate stakeholders (internal teams, external vendors, service providers) and manage projects, budgets, and timelines.
- Provide Level‑3 support: diagnose complex incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
- Develop and test fail‑over plans to guarantee service continuity.
- Continuously enhance tools, processes, and best‑practice guidelines.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, OT networking, and virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in system architecture design, integration, and performance optimisation.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks for OT (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443).
- Project management skills, including scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder coordination.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for technical documentation and training.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Systems, Computer, or related field).
- Certifications in OT security (e.g., IEC 62443, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent) are a plus.
- Relevant industrial integration or project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are desirable.
