Job title: Senior AWS Developer
Role Summary: Lead development of a regulatory reporting cloud solution, integrating diverse source systems and third‑party reports using API, file, and web‑service techniques within AWS serverless and containerized environments.
Expectations: 7+ years of software development experience, strong technical communication, ability to mentor junior engineers, self‑starter capable of working in dynamic, cross‑functional teams, adept at reverse engineering and requirement refinement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, and deploy AWS serverless components (Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, Glue, SNS, SQS, SPARK).
- Build integration solutions for APIs, file, and web services.
- Factor code for containerized or native cloud deployments.
- Mentor and peer‑review team members.
- Refine requirements with Business Analysts and Solution Architects.
- Collaborate with delivery leads and architects on solution design.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and overall delivery excellence.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Python and Java development.
- Deep experience with AWS native services: compute, database, serverless, messaging, analytics.
- Expertise in integration techniques and data pipelines (API, file, web services).
- Containerization and deployment in AWS (Lambda, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, Glue).
- Microservices experience on ROSA or equivalent platforms.
- Strong knowledge of CICD, Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines.
- SQL, ETL tools, and data pipeline design.
- Reporting tools (PowerBI) knowledge (nice to have).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer) preferred.
