Job Title: Senior AI Engineer
Role Summary: Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions that transform business workflows in regulated life‑sciences environments, delivering secure, compliant, and production‑ready applications.
Expectations: Deliver high‑quality AI products that meet security, governance, and compliance standards; collaborate effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders; maintain reliability, scalability, and cost‑efficiency of AI systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build AI copilots, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, document generation, automation agents, predictive models, and decision‑support tools.
- Develop end‑to‑end AI pipelines: data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Integrate large language models via APIs (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock) into business workflows.
- Implement MLOps/LLMOps practices: versioning, monitoring, logging, performance tracking, cost optimization.
- Enforce AI governance, data classification, privacy, and risk mitigation; document models, data sources, and guardrails.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product owners, SMEs, and security teams to refine requirements and success metrics.
Required Skills:
- Python (core), LLM APIs, PyTorch/TensorFlow/scikit‑learn
- Cloud deployment (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Data engineering fundamentals, APIs, distributed systems
- RAG architectures, vector databases, semantic search
- Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, LangChain, LlamaIndex (or equivalents)
- MLOps platforms (MLflow, SageMaker, Azure ML, Databricks)
- Responsible AI, model explainability, secure engineering
- Prompt engineering, stakeholder communication, systems thinking
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or applied AI engineering
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
