Job title: IT Change Manager – Associate Vice President
Role Summary: Lead end‑to‑end IT change management within a banking environment, ensuring controlled delivery of changes, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of IT Service Management processes.
Expectations:
- Demonstrate senior leadership in change governance and risk management.
- Drive compliance with SOX, PCI‑DSS, GDPR, PRA/FCA, DORA and other regulatory frameworks.
- Align change practices with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the complete IT change lifecycle (standard, emergency, major).
- Chair Change Advisory Board meetings to evaluate, approve, and schedule changes.
- Collaborate with technical, business, and risk/compliance teams to assess impact and risks.
- Ensure changes occur within defined windows and meet operational readiness standards.
- Maintain auditable records of change requests, approvals, risk assessments, and outcomes.
- Monitor and investigate unauthorized or failed changes; lead root‑cause analysis and remediation.
- Provide evidence of governance for internal and external audits.
- Track and report change metrics (volume, success rate, SLA adherence).
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains.
- Work closely with DevOps, Release Management, and Configuration Management to integrate change practices.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience managing change in complex IT environments.
- Strong understanding of ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Knowledge of risk assessment, impact analysis, and compliance audit readiness.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (SOX, PCI‑DSS, GDPR, PRA/FCA, DORA).
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, Agile delivery models.
- Leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑oriented mindset.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- ITIL certification (Intermediate or Expert) focused on Change Management.
- Preferable: COBIT knowledge, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, CISA, or similar compliance certifications.
