Job Description
**Job Title:** Information Security Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, implement, and maintain security controls and architecture to protect enterprise data and systems. Conduct risk assessments, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance activities across cloud, on‑premises, and third‑party environments, with a focus on healthcare regulations. **Expectations:** - 3+ years of IT security experience in a complex enterprise, preferably healthcare. - Proven ability to assess, remediate, and communicate security risks. - Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills. - Detail‑oriented with solid documentation capabilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and test incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans. - Design and implement security architecture for networks, systems, applications, and cloud environments. - Maintain cyber‑risk register and support audit & compliance initiatives (HIPAA, HITECH, PCI DSS). - Conduct internal and third‑party risk assessments, including vendor security evaluations. - Manage vulnerability remediation workflows and track penetration‑test findings. - Lead security training awareness programs and monitor effectiveness. - Provide security risk reports and recommendations to senior management. **Required Skills:** - Incident response and vulnerability management. - Security architecture design (cloud and on‑prem). - Risk assessment methodologies and security framework implementation. - Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, PCI DSS compliance requirements. - Strong written and verbal communication; ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. - Proficiency with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, vulnerability scanners). - Collaboration across cross‑functional teams and external auditors. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or similar. - Healthcare IT security experience (HIT) strongly desired.
