Job Description

**Job title:** Data Scientist **Role Summary:** Deliver advanced data science and machine learning solutions on a contract basis. Own end‑to‑end project lifecycle—data ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, and deployment—while translating complex technical outcomes into actionable insights for business stakeholders. **Expectations:** • 15+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI roles. • Proven track record on large, cross‑functional projects. • Ability to work independently under tight timelines and communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical audiences. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and validate predictive models using Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit‑learn, etc.). - Lead feature engineering, data preprocessing, and model selection strategies for large datasets. - Conduct rigorous model evaluation, fine‑tuning, and performance monitoring. - Develop visualizations and storytelling dashboards to present findings to stakeholders. - Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and domain experts to integrate models into production pipelines. - Maintain documentation of modeling processes, assumptions, and results. **Required Skills:** • Python programming – expert level. • Proficient in data science libraries: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit‑learn, etc. • Deep knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics. • Experience with AI/ML frameworks and handling large‑scale datasets. • Strong feature engineering, preprocessing, and model evaluation techniques. • Proficient in data visualization and storytelling. • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred). - Professional certifications in data science, machine learning, or AI (e.g., TensorFlow Developer, AWS Certified Machine Learning) are advantageous but not mandatory.
