**Job title:** Senior Network Security Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise network security solutions, overseeing next‑generation firewalls, VPNs, and security service edge (SASE/SSE) platforms. Drive operational excellence through automation, capacity planning, and collaborative strategy with stakeholders and offshore teams.
**Expectations:**
- 8‑10+ years of heterogeneous TCP/IP environment experience.
- Proven ability to architect and secure complex multi‑site networks.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in high‑pressure settings.
- Excellent communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel and respond to after‑hours incidents.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Configure, administer, and maintain network security hardware/software, monitoring tools, and management portals.
- Install, configure, and sustain complex multi‑site VPN & TCP/IP networks.
- Develop, recommend, and implement security procedures with stakeholders.
- Maintain secure access to services via VPN; troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues.
- Monitor and resolve firewall logs, firewalls, and other security-related incidents.
- Develop and support automation scripts for network maintenance.
- Plan firewall capacity and assist in VoIP connectivity solution planning.
- Proactively research new products/technologies aligned with strategic vision.
- Engage offshore engineering staff as security lead for troubleshooting, daily tasks, and change oversight.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise in Palo Alto (Panorama/Prisma Access), Cisco Security (ASA, ISE, Firepower NGFW), Cisco Secure Client/AnyConnect, Zscaler/Prisma Access.
- Strong grasp of security architecture & protocols: SASE/SSE, VPNs, NAT, SSL/TLS, IPSec.
- Hands‑on experience with network routing (BGP/OSPF), Cisco Data Center networking, F5 load balancing.
- Firewall security design, capacity planning, performance tuning, security best practices.
- Network monitoring and management tools.
- Ability to script and automate network tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.
- Adaptability to solve deep system‑level problems and meet change‑control requirements.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 8‑10 years of relevant experience in heterogeneous TCP/IP intensive environments.
- • (Preferred) Certified Palo Alto Networks Security Essentials (PCSE) or equivalent.
- • (Preferred) Cisco CCNP Security or CCNP Data Center.
- • (Preferred) Any relevant SASE/SSE or cloud security certifications.
- • (Optional) OSCP, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent security credentials.
