**Job Title:** Sr. Salesforce Developer/Architect
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom Salesforce applications for a federal agency, ensuring integration with existing systems, adherence to security standards, and optimal user experience. Serve as a technical leader, providing guidance, training, and documentation to internal teams and stakeholders.

- Meet compliance requirements for federal security clearances and data handling.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Continuously improve processes, code quality, and platform capabilities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to capture CRM requirements.
- Architect and build scalable solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and related technologies.
- Design data models, workflows, and process automations aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct unit, integration, and UAT testing; resolve defects promptly.
- Maintain code repositories, version, and release management across environments.
- Create technical documentation, training materials, and facilitate user training sessions.
- Enforce security best practices; manage user roles, access controls, and data encryption.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, ETL tools, and middleware.
- Mentor junior developers and promote Agile/Scrum practices.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years of professional development experience focused on Salesforce UI and custom development.
- Deep knowledge of Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, Lightning Component Framework, MVC patterns.
- Expertise in HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and Java SE/EE (Java, JSF, SQL).
- Experience with relational databases, data modeling, ETL, and REST/SOAP web services (JSON/XML).
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (XP, Scrum) and test-driven development.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and deployment skills across sandbox/production.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I credential (or higher).
- Eligibility for DHS (CBP) Security Clearance; US citizenship required.
- Current or previously held clearance highly preferred.
